By accessing and using MyPetsSafetyNet ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

MyPetsSafetyNet is a scheduled notification service designed for pet owners who live alone. The Service sends automated check-in messages via SMS, phone call, and email, and notifies your designated emergency contacts if you do not respond within your chosen timeframe.

By using this Service, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

• MyPetsSafetyNet is a notification and communication service only. It is not a medical alert system, personal emergency response system (PERS), or crisis intervention service of any kind.
• MyPetsSafetyNet does not provide emergency response services. We do not dispatch emergency personnel, law enforcement, fire departments, paramedics, or any other first responders. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, you must contact 911 or your local emergency services directly.
• MyPetsSafetyNet does not guarantee pet care or any intervention on behalf of your pets. The Service notifies your designated emergency contacts, but we have no control over whether those contacts respond, take action, or provide care for your animals. We assume no responsibility for the welfare of your pets at any time.
• MyPetsSafetyNet does not guarantee delivery of any message. SMS, voice calls, and emails are transmitted through third-party carriers and providers (including Twilio and Resend). Delivery may be delayed or fail due to carrier issues, blocked numbers, spam filters, device settings, network outages, or other factors outside our control. We are not responsible for undelivered messages or the consequences of non-delivery.
• Emergency contacts are not employees, agents, or representatives of MyPetsSafetyNet. They are private individuals you have chosen. We make no representations about their availability, reliability, or willingness to act.

In any genuine emergency — medical, safety, or otherwise — always call 911 or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely solely on this Service.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information about yourself and your emergency contacts
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Respond to check-in notifications in a timely manner
• Keep your pet information and emergency contacts up to date
• Ensure your phone number is active and capable of receiving SMS and calls
• Obtain the explicit consent of every person you designate as an emergency contact before listing them in the Service, check their phone number and email address for accuracy, and explain what an alert means and that they may be contacted on your behalf
• Not use the Service as your sole or primary safety plan. You are responsible for making appropriate independent arrangements for your own welfare and the care of your pets

MyPetsSafetyNet makes no warranty, representation, or guarantee of any specific outcome resulting from use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• That check-in messages will be received, read, or responded to by you or your contacts
• That your emergency contacts will take any action upon being notified
• That your pets will receive care, food, medication, or any other assistance
• That your wellness will be monitored continuously or in real time
• That missed check-ins will be detected within any particular timeframe
• That use of this Service will prevent harm to you or your animals

The Service functions only within the parameters you configure. Results depend on your own responsiveness, your contacts' responsiveness, third-party message delivery, and many other factors entirely outside our control.

We cannot guarantee that an alert will be received, read, or acted upon.

While we strive to provide reliable service, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, third-party provider outages, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions, missed notifications, undelivered messages, or system failures — including any harm to you, your household, or your pets arising from such interruptions.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy, including your contact information, pet information, and emergency contact details.

MyPetsSafetyNet offers a free 7-day trial period. After the trial, continued access requires an active subscription at $6.99/month, billed automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyPetsSafetyNet, its owner, operators, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
• Personal injury, death, or property damage arising from your use or inability to use the Service
• Harm to or loss of any animal resulting from a missed, undelivered, or unresponded-to notification
• Failure of an emergency contact to receive, read, or act on any notification
• Delays or failures in message delivery caused by third-party carriers or providers
• Data loss, account access issues, or unauthorized access to your account
• Any reliance on the Service as a substitute for direct emergency services

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyPetsSafetyNet and its operators from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any claim by an emergency contact that they were contacted without proper authorization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or abuse of the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through your account settings.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Users who opt into SMS communications agree to receive automated check-in and emergency alert messages from MyPetsSafetyNet. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not guarantee SMS or call delivery. Delivery depends on your carrier, device settings, and network conditions. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for assistance.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Washington.
